Had some routine blood tests, and everything fine except my liver function test has come back as 'slightly high ALT'. Doctor has asked me to repeat test in one month, but I'm a bit worried, should I be? I have no symptoms, and I don't drink.
Thank you

Levels go up and down and can be influenced by so many factors, I'm guessing that's why your Dr wants repeat tests.
If you have no symptoms then unless anything changes wait until you have the next tests done and go from there. As far as I'm concerned blood tests show how effect the liver is, they don't provide accurate diagnoses without some further tests like imagery etc.
I know it's hard, and I reckon a lot of people on here also know how hard it can be, but we can only share our experiences, if you want to scare yourself go google it, but it won't help.
My husband had a cold that persisted for many weeks and so had some blood tests. His came back with slightly elevated ALT. Sometime later, with repeat blood test, everything back to normal. These blips can happen.
next time you go to the GP -go and get a copy of the results...GPs can be a bit vague on things like " a bit high" no symptoms is good but that's what tests are for-to try and give a "heads-up"
