I went into QE clinic yesterday (Monday). Saw online this morning that my creatinine was 226 and urea, alt and egfr all out of normal range. As expected, the phone call came to say that I have to go in tomorrow morning. What they can do, and what it means, I have no idea. Maybe dialysis? Could be a lot worse I know, but heck, I thought I was doing so well.
Thanks for that, this is such a great blog site, so many good people.
Yes it probably is the meds causing the problem, we'll see today when I go in. Silly, I know but I do feel disappointed in myself, I was doing so well too.
Yes, kimberley is great and has been through a lot, I'll look through some of her old posts.
Hi mike I think it's more your meds than anything else my results were all over the place after my op I had to go back in to see the clinic a few times , it's more than likely your prograf n they may well reduce it for a while , your in the best place possible Mike , this is the hardest bit in my view when your still under the surgical team, takes a while for things to settle ,don't beat yourself up your doing really well mate , all the best Mike keep smiling through mate ,adam
I hope all goes well for you, sounds like you just need that little bit of a fine tune up with the meds. It took me about nine months to sort mine out..
Sorry to hear things are out of whack at the mo. Jenni may spot your post, she too had a tp recently and yo yo'd back and forth for a bit with bloods going all over the place.
Same thing happened to me..their very mindful of that level. As a bit of rejection can hurts the kidneys.
I was in for five days, and the first one I was loaded up with fluids.
They said I was not drinking enough water.that was in December.
Last week my kidneys started going again, they changed my meds. I had a bone marrow biopsy yesterday, and they took my bloods again. Now kidneys are getting worse, so they want to have my bloods done again tomorrow.
I hope I don't have to go in to stay again myself.
Thinking a good thought for you and cheering you on!
Also, they like that creatinin around 80, as a goal, but my doc is also a renal specialist and says 100 or so is fine, for me. Mine was in the 140s when I went in, a month after transplant. But I also had a not so good ALT.
Yours are really high, the creat. I mean. Do you drink a lot of water? I guzzle it! Lol. Don't worry sweetie, they'll sort it! They are really good at this stuff!
