Very fatty liver

Just had scan which shows I have a very fatty liver. I do not drink alcohol and eat a healthy diet, my doctor does not seem botherd by the results should I have further investigations as very tired, itchy skin, and no appetite .

Can I ask why you had a scan on your liver?

In short yes you should have some further tests done and should be referred to see a liver specialist. Do you have any other conditions – liver or otherwise?

yes. I had a fatty liver for several years and following a fibroscan now have cirrhosis. I didn;t know this could develop from fatty liver and have been told obesity and diabetes have caused it. I am tired all the time too. I haven't yet heard what treatment I am to have but am glad I know the situation as I have now started weight watchers and hope to prevent things getting worse. good luck
