Possibly.
I had a mild fatty liver from drinking, and in my heyday I’d get really nasty aches as if I’d pulled a muscle. The pains went on albeit to a lesser degree long after I’d quit drinking and had been at a healthy weight for a good while. After a normal fibroscan, I asked about the aches, the doctor had no reason but said it was common with a fatty liver.
If you continue to steer clear of alcohol, the pains should start to fade.
That’s intresting to read, I’ve had similar sounding pain for almost 12 months. Mild fatty liver from drink, and the docs kept saying it’s muscular to me ! Confused 😐
Hello,
Have you talked to your doctor about your pain? Some people with fatty liver disease do get pain in this area but it could be caused by something entirely different so it is best to speak to your doctor and get the appropriate investigations done.

You don’t actually get pain from a fatty liver, that is why cirrhosis is known as the silent killer. You should definitely talk about it with your doctor, along with any other issues that are concerning you. They will definitely signpost you to the right services. Even with the disruption due to Covid, the NHS is very much in business.
Good luck with everything.
Hi Cashiee my late husband was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis when he first had upper abdominal pain but he refused to admit it was caused by alcohol. He was in hospital with it twice. Best to get it checked out.
