I have had pain in my liver now for about a month. Never had it this sore before and had my liver problem since I was 12. What can it be

Go see your doctor and be firm. Ask him (or her) what the pain is caused by and ask for a repeat blood test. Do not be fobbed off.

If the pain becomes unbearable and your Doctor is playing wait and see, go straight to out-patients at your local hospital.

I would go to your GP initially as you may need something to help with the pain - advice as to which pain relief to take etc. If you are seeing a hepatologist I would write / phone via his/her secretary and ask for your out patient appointment to be brought forward. You cannot just turn up at out patients as they will not see you without your notes or an appointment! You could always ask your GP to re-refer you if you do not currently see a hepatologist.
