After reading others runs this morning it gave me the inspiration to go and get out there myself! I felt the need for some countryside in my day! So I drove down to the lower Castle field for some new inspiration ! I decided to run up to the old powder mills! The powder mills are long gone and GKB how took over until 10 yrs ago when it became a housing estate of Executive Homes blended into woodland and foot paths which gives you the whole country side experience! So back to my run I chose to leave the head phones at home so I could listen to the birds and the breeze in the trees! So I started at the park run start and followed the route for the 1st kilometre through the park and onto the trail out to the powder mills which runs by the river and the fishing lakes in the country park. It was lovely as it was quite quiet just the birds and sheep in the wind. I became aware of the smell of honey suckle which was beautiful scent to be in the air! We had several heavy rain showers yesterday and overnight but the ground wasn’t to bad just a few muddy puddles to get through mainly on the heavy used park run part! It was just lovely being out there!

That’s one of the things I love most about this forum-everyone else’s runs spur me on to get out myself!

It sounds like you had a wonderful run. I’m smiling too became you clearly are after such a great time in nature. Thanks for the inspiration to get out myself later! ❤️
