Just did the Steve Cram 'Beyond 5k' Speed run, to test out my recovering ankle. Pleased to report all is well, nothing is hurting, and it felt amazing especially in the 35 mph wind! So pleased to be back out there, and hoping to get back onto the Magic Plan next week π
So happy with just a small run ... - Bridge to 10K

Thatβs fantastic news! Hope it was a minor blip (we all have them!) and the magic plan is indeed magic when you start it.
Which version are you going for? Time based or distance? Both work really well and itβs just a question of what you think will suit you best!
Thanks, yes I think it was just a blip as it just happened after a non-challenging 4k run, not the 8k from a few days before. I'm halfway through the distance version. Will start again from w5
Well done. I haven't done any of the additional runs from C25K. I need to investigate those...
I'm doing the NRC 10K plan as I do like a guided run. Best of luck. Must be a great feeling to be back.
I did the first two 'Beyond..' runs a few times before starting parkrun in March, then Magic Plan. I quite like being nagged/encouraged by Steve Cram π. The download files have been updated recently so I'll be interested to hear the difference next time - perhaps an Olympic slant? π I've been using a variety of NRC runs to do the 6, 7 and 8k Magic Plan runs. Like you, I like some guidance / commentary. (I only had 10 days off but it felt like longer!)

Very well done to you! Good that you are back on track.
