Tried the 35 mins run in stepping stones and actually managed to get further than 3k so a big milestone for me. Today I did the speed run. It was fun! Enjoyed the shorter run and the intervals. Surprised it didn’t feel that hard and even continued slow running for 5 mins after the intervals rather than straight to a warm down walk.
I also recommend the pre and post run exercises in the app. Only tried them this week and I’m being much more thorough and stretching for longer than I was before which can only be good for me.
Plenty of options to play with and hopefully speed me up a little. I’ve no great ambitions other than to do a park run when I can manage 5k but I guess that is a good aim for now.

That sounds brilliant! Congratulations on that >3k milestone!! Thanks for the shout out for the videos too-I haven’t looked at those in a while and I’ll refresh my memory next time I run.
I love (and also hate!) intervals. Speed runs are so brilliant for a post run high. You’re doing so well.
Just as a small aside for anyone reading (and not a push to get to parkrun earlier than you want to), it’s not compulsory to have to run it all-there are often people jeffing or even walking the whole thing. People can go at any stage of their run journey. You’ll know when it’s right for you and you’ll have a load of run buddies here cheering you on. You might enjoy reading the weekly thread over on bridge…
