Picture the scene at the start of 'Four weddings and a funeral': "f*ck, f*ck, f*ckity f*ck"...... remember that? That was also me today at the end of a 4k gentle run, when I hobbled home in pain. I've been good and followed instructions through C25K, then carefully consolidating, taking all rest days, not going fast, stretching afterwards. Working towards 10k, managed to complete up to and including week 4 of the Magic Plan, doing my first 8k comfortably with no issues. Several days later had ankle pain for no apparent reason; it faded so did parkrun on Sat with no problem, and all seemed ok. Then this 4k today - ok during the run, but painful afterwards. Looks like I'm off the road for a few days. Without knowing what the issue is, I'm not sure whether to rest it or attempt stretches 😩

Oh gosh... certainly rest up to begin with... use the PRICE method and see how you go.
Do, though, if you feel there is no improvement, see your GP or sports physio'
