Hello all.
I recently posted about my experience running in very hot (27) humid (89%) weather in Kenya.
I had some great advice to have electrolytes before and after the run and it really helped. It was still really hard though and I was only able to make it to 5.5k towards the end of the holiday.
We arrived back in London this week and only managed to get out for my first run this morning - and it was great 😊. I felt energetic and it while it wasn’t easy (it never is for me!) it was easier than many runs before the holiday. I managed to do 8k, felt like I could have done more and didn’t even really compromise my usual pace at all.
I’m not sure if there is such a thing as low altitude high humidity training but it may have worked for me!
As an aside, I was really impressed with the impact electrolytes had, do people use them before/after regular runs?
Thanks as always!
