A muddy one!🏃‍♀️💦

This was my first run since the London Winter 10k at the weekend. ( I pulled something in my back on Monday evening so missed my midweek run while it settled.)

Feeling better, I headed out to the local Downslink and trails this afternoon. Now, there has been quite a lot of rain this week but I was still taken aback at the amount of water and depth of mud in places!! 😬 On one of my tracks, which is also a bridleway, the mud was so deep(!) and well over my ankles, resulting in nearly losing a shoe on a couple of occasions! It was slow going but sort of brilliant fun at the same time - and just to add to the experience it started raining soon after setting off!🤷‍♀️

I also managed to include a decent hill, many, many puddles and of course had to stop and take a photo to share with folk on here! Finished back near my house having done a 6k and looking like a creature from the swamp!🧌🤣
