After my last run, I was a bit scared by the offer to move to the "over 10 kilometers" forum.

How am I going to run such distances now?😱

I want to stay at +- 7 kilometers!

Those distances scare me.. then there's already a marathon somewhere.. ? What?

I feel safe here. At least I think... for now. 😳

Today was supposed to be "my usual" 7 kilometers, but somehow it dragged on.

I wanted to climb up to the lookout and then I wanted to avoid the road and the same route.

Nice run for me!

Happy running!

Don't worry, nobody's going to chuck you out of here. Lots of us do the occasional stretch to 10k, lots of us are happy round the 5k mark. If this is your happy place just stay here. We all like reading your posts so don't leave us :)

Sorry if it wasn’t clear that there’s really no pressure to move anywhere. People like to post in different places during their run journey. It really was just for useful information that the “Fun Beyond 10k” board exists and you’d be welcome to share some of your runs there if you wanted to.

Don't apologize at all. The fault is on my side.

It scared me a little.

A year ago this time I wasn't sure if I would even walk properly due to health issues and now I've run over 10K?!

I'm already freaking out.

And since I know myself... I would definitely like to conquer more goals.

But I also have to work and do a lot of other things

and it already seems time-consuming to run 3 times a week.

Only other horizons scared me a little.

It's definitely not your fault!

Thanks for the encouragement!

Just to add: lots of people are members of several forums; it's really not a question of leaving one and moving to another. And the Fun beyond 10K forum isn't about forcing people to run more than 10k, it's supposed to be a place where more experienced runners can explore options and find support for running in ways that they enjoy, whether that be running longer distances or not.

And does it also apply to distances under 10 kilometers?

Yes 😀 Let's be clear, though, you can be a member of any forum you like, it's a choice, not an obligation! I find that reading the About section of any forum helps me get an idea of whether it's for me or not.

I like your approach - you went further because there was a specific reason to do so.

Good morning lusmo 🙋‍♀️there really is no great hurry for you to jump straight over to the over 10k forum. When you feel in yourself that it’s time to do that then do it until then stay here a while longer…. no rush at all

Good luck👍🥰x

This looks like a great run and a good distance well done.

I felt the same as you about “moving over”. I’m sure I must be wrong but it feels a bit intimidating and I think I will feel like an imposter unless I regularly hit 10k or more mark - perhaps something to aim for one day when I have more confidence ?

I promise you we have no imposters! Anyone and everyone is welcome. All you need is an interest in running ... it's true we talk about entering events and running beyond 10k ... but we send a lot of time doing neither 😊 In y case, I'm not even running at the moment🙈 Feel free to lurk and hopefully you'll see we all have a touch of 'imposter syndrome' and our fair share of lack of confidence, as well as a fair bit of inspiration and useful information 😊I suspect that either none of us are imposters, or we all are 😍

Chill out Lusmo 😀. We’re free and easy here so you can move about the boards as you wish

Same with your run distance. It’s your running and you can do what you like with it. Running is a joy so make the most of it and have fun out there 👍😀

I echo all the above! The really important thing is running what you want to run. Not titles of forums, or which forum you 'identify with'. Join them all, lurk, post, ignore ... the choice is yours. HU should work for you, not the other way around.

First and foremost, enjoy your running, then secondly cherry pick your way around our forums. You're here to have the most fun you can and the forums are simply here to support you😊
