I made the hour!

I’ve been following the Magic Plan and have just run for an hour - the longest I have ever run in my life. I’m so pleased. Do I get a badge or something? 😂😃

Congratulations! Drop Oldfloss a reply on this thread here…

She’ll be thrilled to award you the first badge of the month,

How are you celebrating? Have you thought about how you’ll carry on running or are you just basking in the joy of what you’ve just done? You’ve done brilliantly and deserve to be super proud of yourself 💪🏃‍♀️🏅❤️👩‍🎓

I’m celebrating with a mojito 🍸. I have no plans to run for more than an hour, but am thinking I’ll do 2 x 30 minutes, and one hour per week and aim to get a little faster. I might try some NRC runs too as I do like a plan. Am absolutely thrilled though, both with C25K and Juju’s Magic Plan….and all the support from these boards. Thanks everyone for making me a runner 🏃🏼‍♀️

Congratulations!!! Looking forward to seeing your new badge 😀 So many of us have said that we would not go beyond an hour but...... life and running happens-never say never.

Most important is to celebrate and tell EVERYONE of you achievement and.... carry on and enjoy your running 🏅

Thank you. You’re right, and I won’t rule anything out. My breathing could have seen me through another hour, but my legs were really rather tired. The support and encouragement on here is so wonderful. If I can do it, and love it, anyone can 😃

Now that means so much, as I’ve been a bit of a lurker in the boards - but have taken a lot of inspiration from you so, thank you 🙏 xx

Well done, that's magical. 👏 I also completed 60 minutes a few weeks ago by following Juju's plan, I found it absolutely doable, and, like you, was unbelievably pleased with myself. Love your new shiny badge 🏅

Congratulations Allthegearnoidea . You can move over to the distance plan if you wish and work your way to a 10k badge too. Running just keeps giving.

Thanks. I might do that. I just think that, as I’m slow, it might take me ages? I only tracked one run out of all of them and was so disheartened by the distance I covered, it almost put me off. The lovely people on here said that I was doing great but, I’m not sure that distance is my thing at the pace that I go?

Slow is good. Super slow is even better, I find. Well done! Congratulations from me, who calls herself the queen of super-slow.

I went on to run 10k in my super, super slow way, and I achieved to be able to run for 2 hours! But first consolidate and your plan sounds good!

And don’t worry about how far it gets you, but simply enjoy the fact that you can run for that length of time. And I’m sure I’m one of the runners that is slower than you, and there is always someone with a more deliciously slower pace.

No problem. As CBDB says, you can consolidate your one hour runs and as you get more confident and your body gets used to it, you will probably find you go a little further naturally over time. When I did the bridge, the time element didn’t exist, but it’s great that the time version is available and people find an hour a more realistic target.
