Quick run this morning in drizzly rain. Very apt for my rare, but this time very drizzly mood this morning.
This morning I chose to run to Rob Deering’s Running Tracks Radio Hour on Spotify. Rob Deering is a comedian, musician and podcaster, also known for one half of the Running Commentary podcasts, two chaps chatting whilst running (and recording their chats whilst running).
This new Spotify podcast I really wanted to try the moment I found it last week, as it uses the 2020 introduced Spotify novelty of being able to embed Spotify tracks into a podcast.
I have had my own ideas of trying to create these kinds of podcast on Spotify,, recording whilst jeffing, but hadn’t quite gotten to it. Rob Deering beat me to it.
It’s a great idea, as it bypasses any need for getting music licenses when putting a music podcast together, as Spotify deals with that side of things.
Rob Deering’s show was good, great even, but if you do not have a paid for Spotify subscription (I don’t), then the tracks are cut short to what seems ca 60 seconds, although the commentary is provided in full.
So it would be great for jeffing, as it seems to do a sequence of 60sec commentary - 60 seconds song and repeat, but it definitely leaves one in want for more of the songs.
So something to try, specifically for the runners that have a paid Spotify subscription, who will be able to enjoy the full glory of songs in full.

Happy running, everyone.
