Step count going up from today

So from today I am back at work on administrative duties 3 hrs per day as I still can’t lift or carry anything with my right shoulder and while I wait for the Hospital to decide what happens next? Up to eight weeks for the Ct report to come back 3 weeks down another 5 to go!

This is to decide on next steps which is likely to be Surgical repair! However next week is all doctors strikes probably be extended!

So here I am sitting in a chair acting as admin gofer!

It seems they have taken a dislike to me running 🏃‍♀️all be it no more than a jog and swimming doing Physiotheaphy exercises in a pool 🏊‍♂️ as per Doctors and physios instructions! They don’t understand both help my physical and mental health!

Enough of my with my moaning! The positives are I will increasing my daily step count the amount of stairs I do!

Monday I still went running with the club only 4.51k as I was with beginners who have just graduated but not yet up to running a whole 5k! Though I only jogged along when they stopped to walk I carried on jogging looping back to come round to the back of this small group so I didn’t walk! Giving encouragement and chatting with them! One lady I was chatting to used to run 1/2 marathons 10ks but since the death of a close family member stopped running and gained 6 stone! She is really struggling to get back into it with the weight gain! Sometimes finding out what motivates someone is the key to helping them achieve their goals!

So that’s now locked in my head to help her get back to where she wants to get to!

So my next Run is Thursday night! See you all then

So sorry your shoulder is still causing trouble. It must be miserable to be told not to run. Hopefully that light jog that’s been recommended is enough to give you a mental health boost. I did a decent amount of walking while I was off the runs and while it wasn’t the same, it helped. Lucky beginners having you with them at the run club!

Really hope your CT results are back soon and they can get you back to the runs you want to be doing. Good luck with the step count too! ❤️

There's always long waiting for anything to get done, poor old NHS is overloaded. A good plan helping others too

It has been interesting few days back at work only on admin duties and 3hrs! For two days!

People are shocked it’s still not been fixed and actually how restricted it still is!

However I do believe NHS has been badly underfunded bringing it to this crisis point with all the doctors strike kicking off next week again and the consultants to!

Running again tonight all be it slowly! DWP on Monday for a medical assessment which will be interesting 🤔
