I just watched the whole conversation between Chase Mountains and Steve Sashen, CEO of Xero, and I think it will be a fascinating watch for those interested in barefoot shoes. nowster , you probably have seen this already, but thought I’d tag you, as it may be of interest.
I myself am still at the happy stage of wearing medium cushioning, zero drop, wide toe box Altras (so not minimal or barefoot), but have been using now for at least a year barefoot shoes for indoor gym work and rowing. So was good to hear their conversation about using barefoot shoes in the gym and everyday, even if you are not running. It still has the potential to improve your running significantly.
I also realised when listening why I had such an issue with my legs after doing some barefoot running indoors a few years ago during some icy winters. All covered in the conversation.
A lot to think about, but I thought it was a great conversation.
