Hello,
I’ve joined here because I do want to run for further and longer, but I thought I’d give you some feedback on consolidation.
After graduating 9 days ago I have run 5km 3 times, and even in this short time I have noticed how my body is beginning to cope better, less achy and tired. This is thanks to the people here, who have been so supportive and given such helpful advice. I’ve learnt to go slower but I feel like a proper runner. Your advice is in my head when the speed gremlin tries to make me speed up.
I still can’t believe that after completing C25K for the third time, this time I’m enjoying it. The other times, I’ve ended up largely hating running, and seen it solely as a necessary evil that. Because of your advice I’m enjoying it and actually don’t feel like a fraud, and most importantly I haven’t injured myself (achilles issues).
I will continue to consolidate for a few more weeks before I start Ju Ju’s plan. I look forward to sharing my journey here.
I’m in Bilbao for a week and have brought my running gear so I’m looking forward to running here.
All the best - Lindy
