Hadn’t ran the last couple of days or even walked. The reason……poorly 12 year old Labrador. Had a visit to the vets ,pain relief prescribed, after sickness ,nose bleed and generally feeling under the weather. Lots of whimpering on his part and many hours awake throughout the nights on our part trying to placate him ..bless. The vet told us if the problem keeps going then a general anaesthetic would be required to investigate further and he didn’t really recommend that as he is an old dog it wouldn’t be advisable.
However yesterday seemed to be a breakthrough as he seemed to settle and become more comfortable, sleeping through the night last night so for the time being all is good we hope. Our youngest Labrador was concerned too as she dotes on her uncle ,so she was fussing round him😀
So Sunday was a great opportunity to get out for a morning walk.Spring is definitely on its way.
First snowdrops peeking through and daffodils leaves beginning to bud.🌼
Hope everyone is well.
Keep running Keep smiling.

Thanks Sola. As for turning that preverbal corner with Jack I think we spoke too soon. He was sick this morning and now he is back to square one😞😞.We will probably have to visit the vets again……we feel so sorry for him as he is trying to tell us what he wants …but we feel useless.🤔🤔 So lots of cuddles for him.
Yes I love this time of the year. It’s so fresh. New beginnings!😀😀
Hi Week7 visit to vets with Jack was all good. He has some tablets to take (5 days worth) for build up of acid in stomach and last night he slept right through the night. So that corner has been turned thank goodness hopefully 🤞😀
So pleased to hear that. My little old pup is about 14 now ( dob not known but we got her 12 years ago) so I know the worries of old dog ownership.Just thought you might like to know you and the other REDers have inspired me and I am attempting RED February ( shortest month!)
Thanks Instructor57. Unfortunately he seems to have taken a backward step as he was sick again this morning.😞😞I think maybe he has a stomach ulcer perhaps. However we’ll take him to the vets again if he doesn’t improve and leave it to the experts to diagnose. In the meantime all we can do is give lots of cuddles ,give him nice soft food eg scrambled egg, chicken etc.
ohhh a 12 year old lab , I have a 13 year old choc with dodgy back legs and mast cell tumours but she’s still happy and eating everything in site! Sorry I know it’s about running lol , I did do my first run in 7 months on Sunday so there’s the running bit 🤣 but dogs are more important hope he’s ok
Thank you so much Tracy. Yes you are right dogs are so much more important than running. Jack is back to the vets this morning so 🤞🤞Well done on your run. Did it feel okay for after not running for a wee while?
