"Dad, do you fancy running in the morning I can't do club as hubby's away and I won't run by myself when it's dark. And of course I have to wash my hair and take the children to school and get to work?""Of course darling, I was going to run anyway. What time?"

"6.15am."

(Father then spits a mouthful of water across room.)

"OK, no problem, I'll drive up to you."

But thinks 'I thought I was retired, you are, you can go back to bed later, OK'

She continues, "If the little ones not well enough tonight and keeps me awake I'll text and cancel."

"OK."

Well up to bed before 10.30pm after gathering all cold weather running gear together. Still icy outside and of course cold.

2.30am toilet break - check phone for text - nothing - try to sleep

3am play word game on phone - check phone for text - nothing - try to sleep

3.30am continue word game - check phone for text - nothing - try to sleep

4.30am read yesterday's HU digest - check phone for text - nothing - try to sleep

5.45am give up trying to sleep - check phone for text - nothing - put's on running attire

6.02am text 'Dad I'm up'

6.03am 'me too, I'll be up now'

6.05am defrost's car

6.15am start walk but cut it to 3mins

6.18am start run

6.51am stop running - 5.04k - 32m40s - pace 6.29

6.55am "Thanks dad!" "No problem." - smiles 😊😊

7.30am try to sleep

7.35am give up trying to sleep - get's up - thinks 'at what point will I nod off today'

I wish I had a lovely photo to post but it was still darkwhen we finished.

Toxic 10 had me over and I really thought I'd have to stop but amazingly I didn't and the lack of sleep really wasn't a factor 😊😊

That was a very good run and time you had OMR considering what you have been through and you were running when it was still dark, well done.

Now there hangs a tale GottaImprove, on Sunday I was meant to play a golf match at 8am, I woke at 11am after a very enjoyable Burn's night celebration. I was not popular πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

Well done, nothing to beat a run after a night of waking up in case you sleep in! Thats a great time too, I'm a simular (uncertain) age πŸ˜‰, it takes me 3k to warm up and work out what to do!
