completed Stubbington 10k today. Soggy and windy, especially along the seafront! Great organisation and absolutely fabulous community support the whole way. Absolutely loved taking part. A local 10 mile event is next on my list. Happy running folks π
My first official 10k event , feeling super ... - Bridge to 10K
My first official 10k event , feeling super chuffed. To think that 5 months ago, a 60 second jog was a challenge !
Oh this is brilliant read. Look at your smile! Massive congratulations π₯³ πββοΈπͺ
Did you get some nice bling? Hope youβre celebrating!
Hi Mrs Muppet, wow fantastic progress through to 10k. And the weekend conditions have been so challenging too. You really have the bug now, just brilliant and that photo says it all, a natural high!
Congratulations! πFantastic achievement in such a short time too - that first 10k event is so special!ππ
Amazing!!!! Just in case itβs of interest, we do have a Race (and Marathon) Forum, which helps support all runners entering 10k and longer races. Link healthunlocked.com/marathon...
Thanks for the mention CBDB . I suspect many people think that you have to be some sort of elite athlete to participate in the Marathon Running and Race Support forum. Not so! Here's the blurb:
About Marathon Running and Race Support
This community is about connecting new, aspiring, and experienced half marathon and marathon runners and those training for any sort of racing event. We share support, stories, experiences, and knowledge. Please feel free to join to talk about race events, training, anxieties, nutrition and more - everyone is welcome whatever your level or ability!
We even invite runners taking part in organised races (in practice that's usually 10km or more) to send details to the monthly events post, for a name-check and a virtual pompom cheer by forum members for race day!
Congratulations, What a great start to 2023!!
Congratulations ππ» a brilliant achievement in such a short space of time too, youβre doing so well.
Congratulations well done you. I'm still aiming for it but will get there π
What a fantastic achievement! Your smile says it all! ππ»
What fantastic progress you have made. I hope you continue to love running!
Well done @Mrsmuppet! As CBDB suggests, you and others taking part in official racing events would be very welcome over on the Marathon forum too, if that's your thing π
Wow. Go girl !! What a feeling. Congratulations and so well done. It's not an easy journey from 30 seconds to 10k but now you've done it there's no going back. You don't have to go longer or faster that you want to but you know its perfectly possible if you choose to.
Fantastic!! Isn't it amazing what we can do what we once thought, no, truly believed to be impossible
