Hi everyone, following my injury and recent gait analysis, the shoes that were recommended to me have arrived and I love them!😍 The custom insoles that they ordered for me from the US have also arrived, so I’m going to pick them up and try them out under supervision on Saturday.
Mum’s giving me the shoes for Christmas so the prospects for running properly again in 2023 are very good! 🏃♂️👍

Very swish. Are they Brooks Adrenaline? I love mine. They are really stable and comfortable. I use them for most of my running; trails and road. I like the 12mm heel drop which is good for my achilles. I have needed to strengthen my calves to accommodate the additional loading, but it didn’t take long. You have been doing loads of rehab anyway. Wishing you many happy Ks /miles.👍
I am on my third pair! I use cloud flyers for short quicker runs (recommended by physio!!) . They felt good on their only outing so far. They are 10mm heel drop I think.
Thanks Beachcomber66 I’ll ask the physio what he recommends when I’m back to running properly again. I’ve got some Hyperion Tempos which have never let me down, and I’ll be able to swap the insoles I’ve got too!
I’ve been using Brooks Adrenalines the past 3 years, great shoe. Getting my 5th pair for Christmas, and I bought a pair on Black Friday. The last two pairs I used in rotoation to run and train for two marathons this year , I’ll retire both of them on December 31st when (hopefully) my goal of running 1000 miles this year will be met. 😀
They really seem to suit me Bladerunner2049 👍 I’ve got two pairs coming for Christmas, these and a pair that are silver and orange. I imagine I’ll use them in rotation too. If I can get up to 1,000 miles in 2023 I’ll be ecstatic! 🏃♂️😃
