Just another run

Yesterday we decided to do another slow 5kms. No rain to speed us up so it was pretty leisurely. We've had a lot recently so decided to try a different and hopefully less muddy footpath which took us through fields of oats. They have sort of tufts on the top and shimmer in the sunshine which can be quite hypnotic. They were waist high in places, really makes you stop and think about where your porridge comes from (except I didn't stop, I carried on running ;) )

I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place with such accessible countryside for running. A really nice run, no PBs, no effort, no drama, perfect.

Lovely way to run - just to enjoy being out and moving and lapping up the amazing sights. I can just imagine those oat heads in your photo waving and shimmering in the breeze.
