Anyone for Hairy Haggis?

That is, the Hairy Haggis Team Relay during the Edinburgh Marathon. A bunch of work colleagues signed up for this 2 years ago and lockdown put paid to it. So this is it now - 29th May! I'm doing the 5.5 mile leg (just under 9k).

I've not been on the forum for a while but have been running intermittently. Today I did 8k at a pace that will keep me ahead of the sweeper vehicle - so that's a bonus. 🤭☺

Having a target definitely helps motivate me, so I'm going to have to set my sights on something else after this. Maybe a 10k event to focus on improving my time? I'm probably a bit too slow to make the cut off for events at the moment.

Anyway, its good to be back. I'll start catching up with all ur adventures again too. Happy running all!

I'm glad to hear that you've still been running, and I love the sound of the Hairy Haggis Relay 🤣 I'm pretty sure we'll need pictures of that 😄

Thanks. I'll be doing it on 2 legs rather than 3 though. 😉

Thanks. I'll be aiming for consistency in both running and the forum. Happy retirement by the way!
