Off out for my long run this morning in the spring sunshine! Following on from Oldfloss ’s comments yesterday about imagination and positive thought, I headed to the trails planning for a 10k but prepared for a little more, depending on how my legs felt! 🀞Although still quite muddy and challenging in places (horses really churn up the mud don’t they?), it was a little drier overall and I’m pleased to say, I plodded on for 13K in the end. I do think that running on trails and particularly the muddy ones has strengthened my legs. I have also managed to stay upright for a fair while now, which is always a bonus!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚ Happy to be building a little distance again too.πŸ™‚

You did it.... Yes you did and it sounds fabulous, ( even with the mud)! Staying upright is always a bonus, I find:)This is great and your legs have found the benefits of difficult running, so mud isn't just good for your skin !

Huge well done you !

My field track was dry today too... although my Week 5 run, was only a 5K this morning:)

What an excellent run Sandraj39, and what a lovely day to enjoy being out in the sunshine.

I’m really pleased that my trail shoes give me more grip but I do find I have achey calves afterwards. I think it may be because they are neutral and I normally wear supportive. I might pop up to my running shop and check out some insoles.

I use Enertor insoles now Dexy - they are pricey but supportive and provide good cushioning.πŸ™‚

Well done you 😊. How nice to feel your legs are nice and strong, that obviously gave you the added edge in the mud! And upright is always a blessing 🀣.
