I'm up in York staying with my sister for New Year. Last night I downloaded a rungo 5k which started very near me. I started at 7am,dark still but it was all on lit cycle tracks and pavements.. It's so different to my normal woods/heath/single track road runs out in the countryside but I loved it. New route, new scenery, what's not to love? Well, running in 13' for a start. And no sea to flop into at the end. It's unbelievablely warm and I had only long sweaty Betty's with me, soo wished I'd bought shorts. still, glad to be here, glad to be fit and able to run, and very glad to have vrb's with whom to share the experience. Happy New Running Year to each and every one.

I must try searching RunGo for new routes - I'm in a bit of a rut really. Sounded very successful for you at any rate!

Yes, it was a facility that I'd forgotten about but one that is really useful for new routes in different places. Also you can download them to get them offline. we need alternative ideas for those ruts!

I didn't know that you could do that either I've only used the app for the HU10k so thanks for pointing that out. York is a lovely place I worked there for several years, nice and flat to run round as well. Enjoy your stay.

I only discovered it for the first Hu 10k round Edinburgh!

Nice run for you Mormor1, it is very mild for the time of year hence you feeling very sweaty, for the next few days runners should wear what they would wear as if it was May, not late December.

I do like the 5' runs, much more comfortable for me.

Same to you ALMorr .Madeira is celebrating with fireworks, not many are, and 13 cruise liners coming in or to see out at sea. Happy new year 2022🥃🍷🥳

Wasn’t it warm for running today! I had one of my summer t-shirts on earlier, and have just turned the heating off 😊. That sounds like a great run, it’s always fab to do a new route. I blessed the ability to run too this morning, aren’t we lucky. All the best Mormor1 😃🎄🌟.

Yes, we are so fortunate to have the time, inclination, and health to be able to do it. It rates high on my 'what gives meaning to my life'! Those time of year reflections!
