Why do these things seem to pop up just before race day? 🙄

The general advice is that if the cold symptoms are above the neck then you could run but if they are in your chest then you shouldn’t. If you feel up for it then take it slowly and prepare to take walk breaks. This is not the time for fast times.

Only you can judge whether to go or not. Personally when I have a cold I feel horrible for a few days and have zero energy to do much at all, but everyone is different and you might feel ok.

Colds do take a toll on the body so you might tire out more quickly and the run will feel harder. So, if you go then be prepared for this.

Keep well hydrated today and rest and see how you feel in the morning. Although it would be disappointing not to go, there are always other days and other races and you want to enjoy the experience.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon 🍀🤞
