I did the same set of runs as last week: 4k, 5k and yesterday the 9k
In each case my times were marginally faster although that's not my primary goal - but I find it really hard not to think about time as I'm running as my watch buzzes after every k...
During yesterday's 9k there were a couple of times I felt like giving up - but I knew I'd be so disappointed in myself if I'd given up so I tried not to think too far ahead of all the landmarks I still had to pass. I kept thinking 9k really is a long way!
But I got to the end OK and feel I must be ready to hit the elusive 10k next Sunday - I just realised the date will be 10/10

Well done for sticking at it - you're nearly there! You don't say if you listen to anything (guided runs, like NRC, or podcasts) while you run? I find that they are a helpful distraction if I'm struggling with motivation on a longer run.Good luck with next week!
Thank you! When I did Couch to 5k last year I listened to the podcasts with Laura, but now I don't listen to anything - I just go out and run, but I'm beginning to think I need something for the longer runs.
