Day off yay!! but Jo was in work til 11, we have stuff going on so I went in for a little while to offer support and found I wasn’t needed which was great πŸ‘ so came home again πŸ˜€

It rained and it howled but by noon when we’d agreed to meet there was some blue sky and so off we went, around the park because the downs would be slippery after all that rain.

Week 4 run 1 nice warm up walk, the little dog knows us now and races across to greet us,

We enjoyed our run, the new shoes made it more comfortable for Willow and he went back to the car to wait for us a much happier man! 😊

What I’ve learned as we’ve run with someone younger is that I can keep up and love running faster than usual but her happy pace is about half a minute faster per kilometre, which is fine because we start together and walk together afterwards but as the run parts get longer, 5 mins this week, I lag a bit on the final run.

So done for today

Run happy all and if you need petrol i hope you find some

Pleased to hear you had a good run and that Willow's magic shoes eased things for him.

Well done on your runs today apart for the weather, hopefully Willow shoes will do the trick. Ive got brooks ghost and they’re very comfortable, can’t believe you can have a run in them and not suitable send back. Wonder what they do with the return ones.?

He said they felt really good and only didn’t run as long as us because my friend is faster and he kept up and wore himself out

If he can remember to charge his garmin he can have music next time lol, he usually runs to the beat of his music instead of trying to keep up our pace πŸ˜€

My friend is 14 years younger so i’m chuffed that i can run the faster pace although as the run segments get longer it’s getting harder i was about 5 metres behind her at the end today, then we walk round the lake that stretches our legs

Well done both of you! πŸ˜ƒ I'm sure keeping up with a faster runner will make you faster and stronger in the long term, it's your own speed workout πŸ‘
