It could’ve been worse. Imagine if he’d entered the HM and only ran the 10k. 😳

True 🤣

Pity about that mixup, just shows you that even elite athletes can get mixed up in the wrong route and race, he can run a half marathon in the time that most runners would be happy with a 10K.

Saw this.Thought What? Had a chuckle 😃

Then Wow!

And then - I'll bet he gets disqualified

Shame really - let's hope he does well in the Great Manchester Run if he takes part.

Pretty awesome if you can go out planning to do a 10k then just carry on for an HM

Imagine being so fit that you accidentally run a HM instead of 10k!Gutted I'm sure, but he must have expected to be disqualified.

There's a poor lady I know of who's signed up for the Chester Triple, where you run all 3 races, the 10k, HM and then Metric or Full Marathon and get a special 4th medal for completing the Chester Triple. Well she's done the 10k & HM and in checking ready for the Metric at the end of the month realised she's accidentally signed up for the Full Marathon...has messaged to see how she can be swapped over (race is on the same day) and they've said she can't. She'll have to pay again to enter the Full & try to sell her Metric place. Seemed really mean of the organisers to me, but knowing this, that poor fella would have no chance in Chester.
