Fed up with football run 😂

So was watching the Scotland game, got fed up when just before halftime they were a goal down,..

So was a cool afternoon.. and thought..

I will go a wee 5K exploring run, there's a route I'd heard of but never ran..

So off I set.. took a detour when I saw a fishing pond.. thought ide go have a look..but underfoot wasn't good for running .too many rocks..so took a slow plod round.. was approached by a large goose who flew up and flapped her wings at my face.. lol..I managed to pick up the speed a bit as she ran a bit after me 🤣

She must have felt I was a threat to her chicks or is is goslings? 🙂

So back on route to the trail.. nice paths.. but fully surrounded by trees so couldn't see any landmarks, thought if I just follow the main path I should be ok..

Or so I thought.. around I went and decided to turn back when I got to 3K as I just seemed to be going further than I wanted .. I just couldn't find the way back.. got to 7K and was getting worried, just around then I got to a farmhouse where I was lucky enough to see two ladies who directed me on the right path home.. 🙏ooh was I relieved 😳

By the time I got on my road home I had done 10K .. 👍

But lesson learned.. I must take my phone out with me.. especially if I'm trying out a new route!!!

Yes definitely will take my phone in future, glad I took my water out with me..I don't always if I'm just doing a 5K .. but lesson learned 🙏

I’ve thought of leaving my phone in the car but if I had an accident nobody would know who I was laying on the pavement as there is no room in my shorts for anything but my car keys, so I have to take it with me.

😂 that was an adventure - well run. Probably the better option than watching the match. You’d have thought after all the hassle over Glasgow Green etc the least they could do was score a goal😂. Happy running 🤗
