Well done Sparky, you are so near your 10 miles, if that is your next goal. I fear tumbles, mainly running through woods with tree roots emerging unexpectedly. So far avoided it happening. Perhaps spurred on by you asking me how I was progressing, encouraged me this morning and I did my longest yet, 12.9k, ending at the sea for a rapid cool down swim. I was pleased, not fast but steady, averaging 8.03/k....I'm very happy with that. I was also fired up by garmin telling me my body battery was 90 when I woke up. Often it's in the 60's, and occasionally in the 50's, I'm not entirely sure what it means but 90 has to be better than 50! After the run it said my fitness age is 49, aaah, if only I was!
AHH how brilliant, that's a great increase in distance..your doing amazing!! Ooh and how great it must have been to go for a swim in the sea afterwards.. bliss!!!
I averaged just under the 8mins today.. keeping it slow and steady on the long runs.. feels much easier π³
I'm thinking 15K next week and the 10mile marker is my June goal π
Haha, I don't have any alternative to "slow and steady"!But happy with distance over speed...I'm short, 5'2 so never had a long stride... I saw a "gazelle" for the first time today... Literally loping along like, well, a gazelle, or Irish wolf hound, no effort at all....I'm more one of those trotting pigs.....but thinner! π€£
