Thank You from a Non-Runner!

After completing the C25K I couldn't imagine ever managing 10 K, but I kept on running, although in my head I'm still not a runner.

But, the distance and time I could run for slowly crept up. About 1 month ago, on a beautiful day, I thought I could run forever, and I ran 11.5 km.

It seemed like a fluke. But, I've done it four times now!

So, thank you to this wonderful community of non-judgemental runners offering advice and support. It is an invaluable, gentle motivator.

Congrats! Really well done!

If you feel like running further still, there's another forum for longer distances called Marathon Running and Racing - it covers 10+ km, you don't have to be training for a full marathon to use it

Great advice there too

I think there’s no doubt you’re a runner now Ions123! But I know how you feel - I go so slowly and not as often as most people so I feel a bit of a fraud calling myself a runner! But I reckon if you run you’re a runner - so that’s it! Enjoy!

I get what you mean about not being a runner, I call myself many things, bee keeper, tennis player, gardener, crafter, walker, wild swimmer....but never runner.....yet here I am running 3 times a week. Totally bizarre.
