I pulled a calf muscle last Friday so thought I’d give it until today (Monday) to repair.. so off I went on my Magic Run .. week 3 run 1, but after my warm up it was too painful to run on so walked for a couple of kms and came home. Annoying but think it needs maybe a week to get back to normal 😡think I’ll get my bike out to fill the gap .. have a great week everyone 🏃♀️

Ouch 🤕 I got a calf strain late January . Rested , tried a bit of ‘jeffing’ eight days later but had to stop.
Left it for another 10days did lots of stretching and started a bit of strength exercises. Got out and managed 2.5 K before I felt it going again . Stopped the run and took the long walk home 🙄😂🤦♀️.
I basically gave up running for most of February and really started to work on glutes and leg muscles.
Got out for a 4K at end of feb and have been taking it steady ever since .
I’m so happy to get running again 😃🏃♀️ and think I’m a lot stronger and more careful for the lay off .
Do take your time and do take care of the calf , hope it’s not as long as mine took tho’ 👌🙂

Eek that does sound a long road to recovery.. I did this regime 2 years ago and had a similar experience and was so glad that I had managed to complete C25K unscathed this time.. then first run after I tripped and hurt my face 🤪 then this happened .. oh well I’ll just have to wait for it to repair whilst doing what you suggest .. think once this has happened there’s always that weakness .. thanks for your advice and concern .. it’s very frustrating 🙃
