Hi. I've just completed c to 5k, not managing 5k yet but will get there. I am running for 30 mins. Any other new runners out there?

You’ll find lots of company here Mummysrunning! I came over the bridge at about the same point as you - I hadn’t got to 5k but was regularly running for 30 minutes. I knew I’d never get to 5k in that time so in the end I decided to just go for the 5k and see how long it took me. There’s lots of options for you! Welcome to the Bridge!

Congratulations on completing C25k.
The Nike Run Club App is great for consolidation runs. Lots of coached runs on there of various times and distances to choose from and it’s free too.
There are 5k runs on there and you get the help and encouragement of Coach Bennett to make the journey more enjoyable. You can still listen to your own playlist too just like C25k. 👍
I graduated from C25K early January. I still don't do 5K in 30 minutes. I need about 42 - 45 minutes to reach 5K. I did a bunch of consolidation runs first, switched over to Jeffing (a run / walk method) and have been slowly increasing 1 run per week. I keep running 30 minutes on week days and in the weekend I slowly extend my run with 5 minutes every other week to reach 60 minutes, which I hope to reach in 2 weeks or so. Once I reach the 60 minutes, I might stick to it for a bit or I might keep increasing until I reach 10K.
Most important: have fun!!
