Anyone got a plan for running 100k in March?

Hi everyone..HELP NEEDED!

I'm looking for mathematicians! I've signed up for 100k run in March and looking at options. I have to fit NHS work, caring role and my beloved Zumba around this.

Haven't posted for ages as nothing to post but am inspired by reading all your posts..

Any ideas would be most welcome!

PS not ran regularly since C25K 2years ago but continue to run ad hoc. Would love to be a real runner! πŸ˜ƒ

100 Kilometers in March, good luck Ricochet1 for your runs, you could try and run 25 kilometers a week in the 4 weeks of March, 3 runs a week, 2/10Ks and 1/5K.

Thanks for this, 2 x 10k's sounds a bit scary in s week though...

100k divided by 31 days sounds louie a heck of a lot if you have rest days between if you realistically say you can run alternate days you need to cover 6.66k each run but if you ran 3 times a week that’s 8.3 k Is divide it up into one long run one 5k slow easy run and one short run a week

If it was me I’d have to reduce the total though, work full time but don’t have children

Good luck

Ha, too late on the children front! But they are grown up now ! Am going to do 4 runs a week, have only done 3x week max before so will have to be extremely consistent. Using foam roller most days 🀣

I've done it... last month. You do need a few longer runs, though, to be able to do it.

Assuming you get 15 runs in, that's still 6.7km per run on average.

I did it by doing the sequence of short, medium, long each week. In February, I did two 10km runs, one 12 km run and a 13.2km run, all at weekends, with shorter runs on weekdays.

This week I'm recovering from that, so this week's total is likely to be behind that average. It's likely next week will include a 14km run...

I’ve done it for the last couple of months. I run five times a week. Most of my running is at a really low intensity with only a fast 5k once a week. It took me awhile to build up to a 100k month. Good luck 😊

5 days is quite a commitment, well done! Am thinking perhaps I should've given it a little more prep..πŸ™„

I did it last month with 3 runs for each of the first three weeks, then an extra one on the fourth.
