Oh my oh my, I’ve only had my Garmin just over a year and it’s the best thing I’ve had in the way of watches, I dreamed of owning a Garmin years ago when they were little more than a sporty looking watch with possibly a lap button and last year Willow bought my Vivoactive 4s music for my birthday, I love it!!
But lately there have been one or two slight niggles, like distance is in kilometres but pace is per mile and it buzzes every time I change pace or what seems just randomly
As I’m doing very little today I did a bit of youtubing of the settings and woo hoo I’ve found all sorts of settings that I didn’t know were there, I’ve changed lots of things and can’t wait to go out and see but maybe not today, oh and I found route planner too, can you tell i’m all excited??
Happy Sunday all

Youtube is amazing for finding stuff out isn't it. Glad you've found lots of helpful settings that you can alter it'll be interested to see what it tells you after your next runI only found how to set up workouts on my watch from YouTube . I love my Garmin too, mine is a forerunner 45 and it's made it so much easier to track activities. Weirdly today on my morning walk it started to buzz and told me I reached my goal... No idea what goal! It wasn't steps which is the only goal it usually tells me about and I've no idea how to find the goal that I've reached, so I'll just be happy that achieved something before 9am this morning 😂🤣
That’s so funny, it might be floors of stairs goal, mine once told me off for going up lots of flights of stairs and only coming down a few, need to be balanced, did it think I just went up and up? I live in a ground floor flat for goodness sake
I agree with delly-dot, it’s probably your intensity minutes. It’s automatically set to 150 minutes per week so I always hit it late in the week. It’s determined by a combination of heart rate and step frequency I think. I found mine in Settings, Activities, then scroll down halfway down the screen. I have a Vivoactive 3 so the menus are probably pretty similar.
I can’t wait for your next post-run post Sola. It’s going be full of new statistics 😆🎯!
Haha! Yes, it’s good to explore more what your watch can do. I love my Garmin watch! It took me a while to learn about it and I’m sure there’s more to discover . MontyMooDog kindly gave up some of his valuable time to explain some of the things to me, particularly relating to heart rate zones and maximum heart rate and it gave me confidence to discover the rest myself! I had fun customising what is displayed as you run or walk and now it is just how I want it 😊
I set up a Santander bank account this week so I could use Garminpay. Thought maybe one day I'd need to get a taxi home 🤣🤣🤣 It's so cool, you can use it wherever there's the contactless sign! And yes, I know I sound old!! (But it's still cool!)
