I seem to have lost it ๐๐๐I managed 2 runs this week with a good one on Monday but I seem to be easily talked out of running at the moment. My hips are niggling and Iโm frightened itโs my arthritis flaring up. Was told 10 years ago I would need new hips soon and so far Iโve managed to put it off but the niggles are there again. Iโm reluctant to go to drs in case he says the time has come. Does anyone run with new hips all advice welcome. โน๏ธโน๏ธโน๏ธ

Has anyone seen my Mojo๐๐
Oh Scruff55 don't worry. 2 runs in a week is not a lost mojo. You're doing better than some of us. I bet running has helped to keep your arthritis at bay - I think its helped mine but I find there is a balance between the benefit of regular running and the disadvantage of overdoing it (too often or too far). However saying all that, if you need new hips, probably best to get your name on the very long waiting list. I do know of someone who runs post hip replacement but it's a long post op recovery.
๐๐ so much. I just feel like I am getting into it slowly getting a bit fitter and maybe even enjoying the odd run. But maybe youโre right and I need to bite the bullet and get on that long list ๐๐๐๐๐
You can keep going while you wait, and you can keep going afterwards without hip pain. You may just have to modify your ambition for a while. In the meantime keep going. Your mojo is still there - it's just worried ๐
Low drop shoes like Hoka could help your hip issues.

What are you currently wearing and whatโs the drop?
2 runs is brilliant. You e been building up fantastic supportive muscles with all your running which will be take some of the pressure off your hips. Some gentle stretches and a short slow run to restore your mojo. Dont panic about seeing your doctor, you may be surprised what they say especially if they don't know about all your running. Happy running ๐ค
Scruff, you are doing so well. Your mojo is hanging in there, don't you worry. MyMojo got rather too fond of her slippers and has had a really good talking to as a result. Your two runs a week puts me to shame, but I'm now working to remedy that.
If you are in pain I would really suggest you check it out sooner rather than later, as leaving things often makes it worse. Hopefully it won't be as bad as you fear and some rest of physio exercise may help. Good luck. ๐ค
