The weather has been really freezing cold here. But when your outside on a daily basis I think we get used to it.
We had more snow again overnight so more grip on the trainers but oh you can really feel your legs working hard.
I wanted to get away from the pavements today to decided to run up part of the cycle path instead. It was beautiful and you just feel so grateful to be a runner and just for a short while forget everything that's going on.
So I thought I'd share some of my photos from today.

Wow that snow, glad it makes a better surface for running. We've just had repeated freeze/thaw and all its done is produce treacherous surfaces. Well done getting out. Happy running 🤗
I didn't run on Monday or Wednesday because of how bad the pavements were. Even walking the dog was terrible. Its a pair of ice skates I needed not trainers 🤣
Hi Buddy, completely agree about the snow, we had -7 last night with a lot of snow!! I wimped out running and went for a dog walk with Monty instead. Definitely putting on my brave pants in the morning and going for it. It was actually great underfoot if you can avoid the bits that had badly iced up before👍👍. Stay safe in this challenging weather.
That looks lovely, I think the ponies are hoping you may have a few apples or carrots for them . It does feel like a real boost to the soul when you do get out and makes you able to forget all about the problems of the world for a bit.🙂Grey, cold and with snow flurries with me, pavements still a bit slippery this morning.
Do you know i started talking to the horses 🤣🤣 as you do and I do think they thought I had something for them. So next time need to put some carrots in my pocket
Beautiful photos Buddy. I have yet to experience a snowy run - we haven't had a decent fall of snow in the South Downs for a few years now. I had a frosty cold run this morning though, which was certainly fresh and crisp. The ponies look like they are heading over for a chat with you. I'm so glad to see them with their coats on.
Its lovely when its actual snow and can run on it. Different story when it melts , freezes again and nothing is getting gritted. So I'll take it when I can. How are you doing ?🤗
What beautiful photos Buddy! I think I’d probably have given up the run to stop and chat with the horses! But heck it looks cold up there - I’m super impressed with all of you getting out to run in it!
I did say hello to them but I think they were more interested to see if I had anything for them. So I bought a couple of carrots to give to them tomorrow on my run and hopefully get a photo ❄🐴🥕🥕
Oh look at that snow, it’s gorgeous, so far only frost here, enough so i couldn’t open my car door this morning and when i did i couldn’t shut it again so Willow gave me a lift in and i arrived late and grumpy....then got over it and had a good day but no running fir us so far this week Happy runs and take care in the snow
