I took up running on 2 February 2020 as a complete non-runner, completed C25k in April, completed the timed Magic Plan (running 7k in 1 hr) the autumn, and since have been running 1 x 20mins, 1 x 30 mins and 1 x 60 mins run each week.
I always give it time before stepping up to the next level but the time feels right. And it's my 55th birthday today. What better way to mark it than taking the next step - and I now want to run 10k.
Let's do this!

Likewise started C25K this July and completed in September. I'm managing 7k in about 43-45 minutes. My weekly routine is usually 2 shorter runs (3.5-4k) during week and longer distance at weekend. My goal was a 60 minute run by year end but weather has been awful last few weeks in Scotland. So my new target is 10k by my 53rd birthday in May. Keep up the good work
I like all of this. What a great, consistent platform you've given yourself. Half an hour more running gets you there!! Keep going, nice and steady and the very best of luck to you. What a super journey to begin 🙂
What a great birthday present to yourself and something to focus on in January You'll get there easily with the routines you've got in place.Enjoy your journey 🏃♀️👍
What is the timed Magic Plan? Like the sound of your routine, I’ve been struggling to get motivated since competing C25K, although I did a 5K for Parkinson’s at beginning of Dec which I enjoyed and would like to get running again.
If you search on here for Ju-ju's magic plan you'll find it. There's 2 versions - a time one to get you running to an hour, and a distance one to get you to 10k. Many do the timed one first.
