This morning, on throwing back the curtains, I was dismayed to witness the constant patter of raindrops, because today was the day for the 10k for St Mary’s Hospice. The forecast had promised a dry morning and, although there were moments when the persistent rain did appear to ease, it really did not stop. But in a group of 4 with Katnap , TailChaser and Karin T. we were not going to be put off by a little rain! Oh no, we were the fantastic four and we were dressed in Santa suits!
Katnap and TailChaser had proposed a route that took in many of Stratford’s landmarks. This presented many photo opportunities (and a chance for me to catch my breath). Cars tooted us as we ran up the roadside and people in town smiled and returned our jolly Christmas greetings. I think may be we brightened up a dull Sunday morning.
As we are in tier 3 there was no opportunity for a cafe stop but we did call at the outdoor market coffee stall where the lady kindly gave us coffees and told us to add the charge to our sponsor money.
A great morning and Tailchaser wore her amazing Christmas shoes!
