πββοΈ πββοΈ πββοΈ I ran my second run today. Was such a beautiful morning. I decided to run 5k and will do the 2.5k on Monday.
Today I decided to change my route up a bit instead of staying in the park. I ran along the river and over Albert bridge and around the outside of the park. Was such a lovely morning, it felt great to be out running. I must say I do feel so much stronger.
I saw a post this morning about running the Vitality 10k run on 31st May 2021, this has got me thinking........ I may very well enter this!!! I am going to see how I get on doing Ju-Juβs Running Plan but would be fantastic to be able to enter my first event, event even if it is socially distanced. Is anyone else running it?
I have treated myself to some new leggings and another running top!!

Yes, do sign up. I am a solitary runner, but decided to sign up yesterday. There are a few of us in the forum signed up! You will have achieved a 10k by next May! I'm slow-ish, but don't care! Go for it!
I think I will enter will be amazing I am just going to give myself a few more weeks to see how I get on with the plan but I would love to be able to do it and run 10k
Would be great, Roxdog said a few people are doing it we could all motivate each other!!
Omg that would be amazing if I was!!
Lol I know I am completely hooked on running!! I love Sweaty Betty stuff so much been looking at these leggings for ages, the ones I am wearing are loose and keep falling down so am getting brave and going to wear some proper fitting ones!
Iβm sure you will be! Once I ran my first 10K I wanted to do it again! Then it gradually becomes normal. Take it slowly at first, then you can speed up later if you want. Iβm still in the βtake it slowlyβ stage π. Sweaty Betty clothes are really good! Glad you are rewarding yourself for your amazing efforts π
Thank you for all your advice. Yes not Putting pressure on myself and timing the runs I am happy to take it slowly and enjoy the run and build up stamina to get to 10k.
Thank you! Yes feel I deserve a few treats and it feels so motivating to get new running clothes.
Good luck with the plan. Just finished it this morning with the magic 10k run. The plan certainly works, not only in terms of hitting the 10k but generally in terms of building up stamina, so I am sure you will be fine.
Congratulations Ant50 on completing the plan and running 10k that is brilliant, such a fantastic achievement you must be delighted especially regarding feeling stronger ππππ π π πππ
Iβm on juju plan too, week 2, doing time version first then maybe move onto, distance. But really like idea of entering 10km in spring as winter motivation.
Off to look up sweaty Betty stuff for my Xmas wish list
