π€£ Well husband and I decided on our W5 50min run around the hill on this beautiful sunny Autumn day. Husband seemed to run along like a gazelle, effortlessly disappearing off in to the horizon, and ended up doing 10k!! He was absolutely buzzing! So proud of him - heβs a natural.
Meanwhile back at snailville, I toddled on - did all the asthma management stuff and loved wearing the buff, which helped breathing in warmer air. I ran most of it and struggled on the steepest part getting to the top of the hill, so walked in places to regulate my breathing and by the end I managed 5.64k. At first I felt disappointed that I hadnβt run further, but am holding on to the fact that I wasnβt completely trounced by the asthma and it was an 84m elevation gain.
Cold air is definitely tricky - back at the beginning of September when it was warmer I managed my first 5k in 41minutes, but I think that would be hard at the moment. I am undeterred however, and looking forward to the next run! I enjoyed today - and husband and I are loving this running journey together - even if we arenβt together for the whole run! Perhaps itβs time to write a new childrenβs story - The Gazelle π¦ and the Snail π
Happy weekend everyone! π
P.S. I really am that short. And he really is that tall. π
