Well having resisted the urge to stay in bed and be a lazy lump, I laced up my Brooks and got out there.
Decided to do a practice run for the Vitality 10,000 Iβve got coming up. Chose a Nike Run Club 10k run, the weather was a bit chilly to begin with but I soon warmed up and got my breathing into a good steady rhythm which Iβve found is one of the most important lessons Iβve learned, and just kept going.I felt strong today and even managed to pick up the pace at the end, which felt great.
What felt even better was when I realised Iβd achieved a 10k PB, shaving 2 minutes off my previous time π what a great start to the day !!
By coincidence I am also doing the vitality 10k, and did a 10k run today with Nike Run club (I did the headspace 10k) and also managed to shave 2 mins off my PB Hope you feel as chuffed with all that as I do!
Thatβs a coincidence π yes I feel well chuffed. Well done to you too... I havenβt tried the Headspace 10k, Iβll have to give that one a go in future π
Wow! This is absolutely fantastic π 2 mins off is huge! It is times like these where we look back at how far we've come and the progress we've made. This is a phenomenal run and a real testament to all the runs leading up to it! Well chuffed for you.
Thanks GTFC I appreciate that, yesterday everything seemed to feel just right. Looking back I am proud of what Iβve achieved. I am still learning what works best for me and enjoying the journey ππββοΈ
