Woke up and read some posts on here to get me motivated this morning and to remember that I'm not alone running in the wind and rain! Had an espresso and a banana, put on my hubby's waterproof jacket (haven't bought myself one yet), and for the first time signed up to the Nike RC app and found the 'Rainy Run' with Coach Bennett (who I've heard so much about on this forum).
I thought I'd decide whether to go for for the 7k distance or 44min towards the end of the run, and to my surprise, managed just over 7k. There's a first! And for some reason it felt good Was it the banana, the espresso, Coach Bennett or running to Dancing With Myself? I'm not sure. But finally my confidence is growing. Woohoo!

That’s more like it 58soon, glad you’re feeling more confident again, you’ve just run a fantastic 7k , great feeling when you reach a new goal and it feels good.
You'll get there too - it's amazing how it happens. Can't quite believe it! Definitely feels like magic (with some self-discipline thrown in there somewhere too). Keep running!
Sounds like you had a great rainy run. I've just discovered I love running in the rain!!! And I love running to Billy Idol too, particularly 'White Wedding', which I try to sing along to, quite a challenge but I love it!!
