Welcome, Smile23 !! Sounds great ! I’m just one month ahead of you (also never run before and graduated 26th July) - and following the same plan. Working towards 10K now - maybe by end October if I can keep it up and avoid injury !! Each extra kilometre run is a new personal best !! Enjoy !! No advice really except now I’m running for longer I found I needed different shoes (more padded/supportive) and I’m aware of not overdoing it.... bit wary of a couple of twinges and realise from the advice on here is try to pace yourself and prevent injury. Easier said than done when you’ve got used to new records week after week !! 😅
I am also ‘fairly’ new, and after C25k used the 12 week NHS fitness programme for my consolidation period ( nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/1... ) and am in the last week.
It has been a fabulous programme to strengthen my running allround. This here is where I logged my progress healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Welcome to tbe Bridge! I used Juju's Magic Plan to get to running for 60 minutes and then slipped over to the distance version to get to 10k. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Don't worry about speed - there are still plenty of snails on here as well. Good luck!
You are making super progress. Just keep consistent and you'll get where you need to go. Keep hydrating well, every day and stretching before (dynamic) and after (static) and you'll love the journey ahead. You have so many adventures to come!
Welcome! I joined quite recently too and this forum is amazing! Always someone to give advice, talk you out of a low spot or celebrate an achievement with you! Enjoy your journey and share your progress with us
