Just a bit too warm . . .

Well last week due to being on holiday a few other comittments I only managed a couple of runs and then only 5k's. This week I had great plans to get back on track, then the heatwave hit . . . I did a 5k on Monday and I was out at 5.45am this morning with great plans of doing at least 8k. Sadly that didn't happen, I managed 5k before I quit ending up a soggy sweaty mess 😣 What else I shall acheive this week I don't know but I'm not very hopeful with this heat, my car sitting on the driveway is registering 42 degrees this afternoon! 😯 How is everybody else coping with the heat?

It is very warm and i think the best thing to do is go out for a run with no distance in mind and just finish running when your body has had enough. Don't worry the sweaty red face look is in fashion, for us runners anyway 🀣 and just remember you ran a 5k which is brilliant in this heat. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘

36 degrees in northern Scotland is unheard of. I ran yesterday morning but only did 4K . Golf today and it was just too hot! Golf medal tomorrow so no more runs until Friday. Think I will head out and just see what happens if it is still this warm. Don’t think this heat and a long run go hand in hand.

I think you are right, 5k was a real struggle today, think the weather is due to break up on Friday though apparently here in Northants . . .

You've done really well getting out for those 5k s more than enough to keep things ticking over in this heat. Cooler in Scotland but after torrential rain and amazing thunderstorms last night it was really humid. Squeezed a 5k run this morning and just back from a 16k cycle, at least you get a breeze on a bike🀣 happy running πŸ€—

Thank you . . . had some rain here this evening but still seems as hot as ever, we'll see how things are in the morning, another 5k?, maybe πŸ€”
