Tips for "bruised" heel

Any tips for what to avoid - I've got what feels like muscle bruising on the heel of one foot. I didn't experience any pain while running, it appeared the following morning. I've given myself almost a week of not running to rest it, but keen for it to not happen again!

I'm no expert but is it possible you are heel striking when running. ?😊

This happens to me occasionally - like this morning, but it wasn't too painful to run on, and not noticeable once I'd got going. Probably just resulted from a heavy-footed, longer than usual plod a couple of days ago. So hopefully nothing for you to worry about. But there is something that presents a bit similarly, and is rather more serious, called plantar fasciitis (spelling?) This has been the subject of a few threads on here over the years, and does need taking care of - it can result in longish spells on the IC.

Best of luck!!

I had that first a few weeks then bought a new pair of shoes - sorted, the bounce in the old ones had bounced their last. Happy running 🤗
