Recommendations please - Greater Manchester Running Shoe Shop

I’m in need of new running shoes - I’ve worn the grips away on my old ones. Can anyone suggest where I can get replacements from. Ideally somewhere that knows running and can advise me as I don’t want to come away with expensive fashion trainers that are not good to run in.

I’m in Tameside and happy to travel a bit further out. Our local running shop closed last year.

Another running friend recommended the following

Run Northwest in Wilmslow

Running Bear in Alderley Edge

Up and Running on Deansgate or Oldham (not town centre, apparently)

Brooke's have a good shoe guide online which recommends a suitable shoe and has a very long no quibble returns policy. As do some other reputable shoe brands at the moment.
