Deltoids anyone?

Not strictly running related, but affecting me none the less! Over the last couple of months, my left deltoid ie. muscle on outside of upper arm/just below shoulder "ball" has really started to hurt. No idea how I may have torn/wrenched/pulled it, I do some light yoga but don't do strenuous upper body work etc. Can't currently do the yoga due to discomfort. Appears swollen compared to the other arm. I can't visit a physio or similar right now, so welcome any tips/experience on dealing with this please? It wakes me up when I roll onto it and certain movements such as doing/undoing bra and taking t shirts over my head are increasingly painful. Thank you.

Just a thought , are your shoulders , arms and hands relaxed when running or do you hold a water bottle in any hand. I'm no expert just posting what I've learned on here 😊👍

It’s a good question and I’ve given a lot of thought recently when I am running to how I hold my arms etc. No water bottle and I think my upper body/arms are quite relaxed and move evenly. Luckily no pain when running at least!
