Out for an early-ish run today in an attempt to find quieter trails!
I have been running over on our local Parkrun course just recently, as it is all on grass and around fields and although I come across dogwalkers and the odd runner, it is very easy to give everyone a wide berth! It also has the dubious benefit of a big hill which I run twice - very good for building up strength! πͺπ©π
But today, it was all about running my favourite route - on the local bridleways, farm roads and woodland paths that meander around fields of sheep and the beautiful Surrey countryside.
I am happy to report, Irishprincess , that the bluebells are indeed starting to flower and it really was great to be back pounding the paths I know and love so well.π Definately quieter for having gone a little earlier too! π
I also found, like others on here, that those who I did pass were polite and friendly and thanked me for moving out to pass them - 'enjoy your run' said one lady!
I have been keeping my distance down a little lately and trying to work on strength and flexibility to see if this helps stabilise my slightly niggly knee! I have been loving 'Yoga with Adrienne' and am also using a fitness app discovered by my teenage son.
My other son has also taken to running regularly (having discovered the gym at Uni!) and I think we now have a third runner in the house! π Yesterday he completed his first 7k run on the trails - the route I ran today! I have to say he ran his significantly quicker than me but hey, that's youth for you! π€·ββοΈπ€£
Happy running everyone - if and when you can. Stay safe and keep looking for the rainbows...ππx
